Meet The Team

Brendan Carroll

Brendan CarrollBrendan is relatively new to Lasallian Education Services, having joined the team at the beginning of 2008. He completed his VCE at St Bede’s College, Mentone, 2001, and went on to spend eight years working within IT retail. His last four years were at Harvey Norman Computers, where he became Store Manager of the Fountain Gate branch.

He now works as Office Manager and Projects Administrator within Lasallian Education Services, which includes running the day to day affairs of the office and also the creation and overseeing of new LES initiatives such as graphic design, multimedia production and website development.

Brother Jeffrey Calligan

Brother Jeffrey CalliganBrother Jeffrey now resides in the District of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea at the De La Salle Brothers Residence in Malvern, Victoria.  He works full time with Lasallian Education Services.  A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States, he has served in many capacities in his home district of New Orleans-Santa Fe.  He has been teacher, administrator, in day and boarding schools.  He has twice served as Assistant Provincial of his home District.  He returns to the States annually to teach in the Buttimer Institute where he has been a major presenter for the past 20 years.

Brother Jeffrey has served on the international Catechetical Commission of the Brothers and has been a presenter in the US program called Lasallian Leadership Institute.  He has presented programs in the US, Central America, Europe, Africa and Pacific Region.  He joins the LES team as researcher and presenter.

Brother Gerard Rummery

Brother Gerard RummeryBrother Gerard has returned to the District of Australia, New Zealand and PNG after 23 years in Rome in CIL (Lasallian Studies) and in the General Council. He has continued his work as a presenter since 1987 with the Buttimer Institute of Lasallian Studies (USA) which takes place each year for three years over a three year cycle. He is also a foundation presenter since 1997 in the Lasallian Leadership Institute , a three-year cycle for Lasallian leaders in various kinds of educational works. This programme, held in three different sectors of the United States, had over 200 participants this year of whom the vast majority are married men and women.

In the District of Australia, New Zealand and Papua-New Guinea Gerard works for Lasallian Education Services as a resource person and researcher He is also an Adjunct Professor of the Australian Catholic University for which he gives a certain number of public lectures, act as a supervisor of some doctoral theses in the area of religious education and as an author of articles of the Journal of Religious Education of the Catholic University.

Trish Carroll

Trish Carroll Trish has worked in secondary education as a year level coordinator, learning area coordinator and Assistant Principal. She also worked for three years with Aboriginal children and Aboriginal communities in Western Victoria. Her qualifications include a Masters degree in Education (Theology), Religious Education, and Graduate Diplomas in Frontline Management and Training & Assessment.

Trish is now Director of Lasallian Education Services, running a variety of formation and training programs for adults, including the development of an online M.Ed. leadership course. Trish (with Br Gerard) teaches the Masters in Lasallian Studies program at St Mary’s College, Moraga (USA), is on the international council for Being Brother Today (Rome) and the PARC Think Tank. Trish is also a member of the District Mission Council. In her current role, she specialises in facilitating staff workshops and professional development. Trish’s particular interest is how De La Salle’s vision is translated into contemporary education.
